LAUNDRYCLUB was born in Switzerland, crafted with precision in Lithuania and guided by a singular vision: to turn knitted garments into living, breathing works of art. At its heart lies a unique, self-invented studio process that transforms the finest yarns into exclusive melanges—twisted, layered, and reimagined into colour stories like no other.

Founded in 2001 by textile designer Jeva Bartuiseviciute in Switzerland, LAUNDRYCLUB originates in her early fascination with light, colour, and their endless transformations. From the very beginning, colour was never decoration—it was the core concept. Jeva sees herself as an alchemist of colour, approaching yarn the way a painter approaches pigment: mixing, layering, and experimenting long before the final form appears.

The brand’s journey began with silkscreen techniques, exploring how light interacts with surface and hue. A turning point came with the discovery—and later invention—of a small studio device capable of twisting ultra-fine yarns into entirely new colour melanges. 

This moment reshaped the brand’s identity. Jeva began working intensively with manual knitting machines, developing a process in which individual melanges are created exclusively for a single garment. 

This method of twisting and composing bespoke yarns for each piece is unique to LAUNDRYCLUB and remains unmatched in contemporary knitwear.

Each knitted piece starts with pure, finely spun Italian yarns, carefully blended like a painter’s palette before touching the canvas. Multiple melanges are used within one garment, creating unmistakable optics, depth, and structure. The result is knitwear that vibrates with life, movement, and subtle colour shifts—never flat, never repeated.

Today, LAUNDRYCLUB’s main atelier is based in Portugal, while its knitwear is crafted with precision in Portugal and Lithuania. The knitted collections have become the brand’s unmistakable hallmark, defined by classy, comfortable silhouettes and an instantly recognisable visual language. 

Sewn garments made from the finest linen, silk, and cotton round out the collection, forming a complete wardrobe for those who seek exceptional quality and refined individuality.
