The RICH dress is a study in sculptural form and material sensitivity. It is crafted from handwoven Khadi silk–cotton, a fabric valued for its gentle irregularities and artisanal character. In this edition, the deep warm grey base is hand-stamped in the studio with a beige obsidian seal pattern, creating a calm yet distinctive surface. The natural texture of the weave is subtly illuminated by a soft silk sheen, lending the piece a quiet, refined depth.
Unlike more structured pure silk versions, this fabric has a very soft, airy touch and moves fluidly with the body, allowing the silhouette to feel organic and responsive. The single-layer construction emphasizes lightness and breathability while preserving the integrity of the textile.
The silhouette is reduced to a square, allowing form to emerge through gesture rather than construction. Two elongated triangular ties extend from the body, offering endless ways to wrap, drape, and shape — defining the waist, adjusting the length, or softening volume as desired. Each configuration becomes an individual expression, shaped by phantasy.
