It is crafted from rare Japanese kimono silk, sourced from an unrequested vintage kimono bolt and preserved for its exceptional beauty. The fabric features a rich, warm purple tone, enhanced by an artisanal shibori pattern in soft light purple, creating a subtle yet expressive relief through traditional dyeing and weaving techniques. The silk itself has a refined, tactile quality — soft, fluid, and quietly lustrous.
This is a single-layer construction, with no lining, allowing the natural drape, texture, and depth of the silk to define the silhouette. The integrity of the original textile is respected throughout, highlighting its uniqueness and origin.
